From Riches to Rags

0 0

Yesterday I returned from a week and a half of visiting with family; this included hanging out at yacht clubs, a Disney resort, and other fab locations.  I then returned to Germany to find that my dog was trying to kill a hedgehog that wandered into our yard.  I’ve got to get this thing out of my yard if he’s still here today, lest Flash succeed.

Only a dog’s nose could detect a hedgehog.  I couldn’t even find the damn thing this first time I looked at this picture I took.
Only a dog’s nose could detect a hedgehog.  I couldn’t even find the damn thing the first time I looked at this picture I took.  Hint: it’s not the rock in the center.

This is not the first time Flash has familiarized himself with a hedgehog, but at least the first hedgehog was found in a convenient, accessible location in the side yard.  This time, a hedgehog has attempted to make a home in the far, narrow corner of the back yard within a mess of tree, bush, and bramble.

In the tree branches.
In the tree branches.  Little fucker.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I had to crawl.  Or when I say that my shirt was getting stuck on branches and fence.  Or when I say that branches were smacking me in the face.  Or when I say that I dropped my phone in the mud.  Or when I say that I had to text Paul to let him know that I was stuck.
