Book Review: German Men Sit Down To Pee

Author James Cave recently contacted me to ask if I would check out his recently-published book, German Men Sit Down To Pee & Other Insights Into German Culture. (Disclosure: He provided a copy at no cost to me)

This is a fun but genuinely helpful book that gives newcomers, expats, and visitors to Deutschland good, accurate information and insight about German customs–all while making you chuckle.  I had worried that it would just be like reading a few blog posts or top tens on the Internet, but it wasn’t.  A pretty fast read, I wish this had been around before I moved to Germany!  Although a lot of the information was familiar to me after over 3 years of living here as an expat, the author provides historical and cultural references within his anecdotes, so while the book primarily entertains, you *do* walk away feeling like you’ve learned something.  That’s important, and I think this book made the grade.

Currently, it’s on sale for .99c on Amazon!
