During one of my parents’ visits, we popped into Bamberg to see my mother’s colleagues and check out the local Christmas Market.
Bamberg, Germany is home to Rauchbier, arguably the world’s most disgusting beer: “smoked” beer that tastes like the bottom of an ashtray.
We just walked around the market for a little bit, and picked up a couple small items.
There were a few nice nativities set up.
It’s not a noteworthy market, but the town is lovely and worth a visit any time of year.
Bamberg also hosts beer tours and events, for those who like ashtray beer. If you head to Bamberg to try some, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
