French Toilets

0 0

To add to the blog post 14 Things You Need to Know About European Hotels, I would like to discuss French toilets.  So far, all hotels have had separate toilets and shower/sinks.  The toilet is in a closet-like room, just the toilet, toilet paper, and you.  The sink and shower are in a room that could be next to or across from the toilet, but without access to the toilet.  This is fantastic for those who don’t enjoy showers while someone else is on the pot just outside the shower doors, and I’m telling you, I want this in my next house.  The only drawback is for someone who wants to wash their hands after they’ve used the pot, and now someone is in the shower.

It is also worth noting that I have visited at least two public restrooms without toilet seats.  In other words, it’s just you, the toilet paper, and the opportunity to fall in.
