Hannoversch Münden (or Hann. Münden, affectionately known in our house as “The Right Münden“) is a stunning walled, Fachwerk-rich town that hosts a nice little Weihnachtsmarkt in its Marktplatz throughout Advent season.
It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for Fachwerk, but add the architecture to a walled city and you’ve got the quintessential medieval town.
As evening fell, so did some snowflakes.

Münden might have just a few vendors at their market, but the important stalls were there: brats, crepes, candy, Glühwein, beer, and a few handcrafted items.
All through town, trees lined the streets.
There were also a quaint nativity scene and a couple of rides for the little ones.

And all with a fairy-tale backdrop!
What we brought home: full bellies.
