Some Guy’s Hat is getting very antsy as he awaits our first pin adventure, so last weekend, I took SGH along to Erding, home of Germany’s widely-exported Erdinger bier. It was raining, so I protected him within a 36-cupcake holder case, trays removed. I’ll admit: it really made me want cupcakes.
The town of Erding is in Bavaria, not far from the Munich airport and views of the Alps that were nigh on impossible to photograph with an iPhone at high autobahn speeds on a cloudy day.
Erding was happy to see us.
The town is an exporter of Erdinger Weiβbier—Erdinger apparently is the world’s largest Weiβbier brewery. Some Guy’s Hat is definitely a drinking hat, so while Erding wasn’t an official pin stop on the hat, SGH enjoyed the outing.
Unfortunately, there was no time to tour Erdinger, although we as a family ate at Erdinger in town. Nürnberger Würstchen & Apfelstrudel. Yum.
SGH is itching for his first, substantial stop on the tour. Just two weeks away!
